Didactic Conditions for an Optimal Use of Interdisciplinary Connections 176 in Chemistry Classes at a Medical University
The article presents the results of a study of didactic conditions for an optimal use of interdisciplinary connections in teaching chemistry at a medical university. The author offers various ways to activate cognitive activity, the effectiveness of which is confirmed by the results of experimental exposure. The main criteria that actualize the didactic conditions for the use of intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary connections are systematized. The main didactic conditions, in the author's opinion, are: the teacher's professional skills, the activation of students' mental and cognitive activities, the use of technology for problem-based learning, the solving of tasks of a problem-content or problem-creative nature. These conditions are implemented through the use of active teaching methods, for example, case-study, activation of cognitive interest and cognitive activity, increasing of students' motivation. The author presents comparative data on the academic performance and the quality of training in the designated topic. In total, 132 students of the Medical Faculty participated in the experiment: five control groups (65 people) and five experimental groups (67 people). The survey was conducted by the questions of the test "Motivation of Professional Activity" (C. Zamfir, A.A. Rean's modification). The author also presents comparative data on the academic performance and the quality of training when attracting students to search activities, preparation and presentation of reports on the relevance of the studied discipline. In total, 129 students of the Medical Faculty participated in the experiment: five control groups (65 people) and five experimental groups (64 people). To activate the students' cognitive interest and cognitive activity in chemistry classes, the author offered them tasks of a problem-content or problem-creative nature that also contained interdisciplinary questions. The author is convinced the effectiveness of applying the didactic conditions is that the future doctor must be equipped with complete chemical knowledge, knowledge of the processes of the life of the human body, and taught to adequately apply chemical knowledge in medical practice. Undoubtedly, the teacher - their intelligence, competence, erudition, scientific intuition, creative attitude to work, and highest professional culture - plays a significant and key role in the educational process.
