The article presents the results of implementing an algorithm for valeological culture formation in future middle-level medical workers in a special course developed taking into account domestic and international experience. The aim of the study was to develop and implement in the educational process an algorithm for the formation of valeological culture as a component of professional training of medical college students in the form of a step-by-step set of actions directed to the gradual development of students' valeological culture. The objectives of the study were: 1) to study domestic and international experience of valeological culture formation; 2) to develop the composition of the valeological culture of future middle-level medical workers; 3) to test the authorial special course Fundamentals of Valeological Culture, which includes the working program, methodological recommendations for studying the course, assignments for independent training. The experimental bases of the study were Kazan Medical College and Zelenodolsk Medical School. The following research methods were used in the experiment: observation, interviews, questionnaire. The participants in the study were 272 first-year students majoring in Nursing: the experimental group was 142 students of Kazan Medical College and the control group was 130 students of Zelenodolsk Medical School. The stages of the algorithm for the formation of valeological culture as a component of professional training of medical college students are the following. Stage 1, preparation and design, includes the students' diagnostic questioning and the subsequent analysis of the questionnaires in order to identify the level of the students' knowledge about valeological culture. Stage 2, organization and information, is the development and implementation of the special course Fundamentals of Valeological Culture in the educational process of medical colleges. Stage 3, evaluation and reflection, is the interpretation of the obtained results of the formation of students' valeological culture. The experimental group had a special course that includes lectures, seminars, practical classes, interactive lessons (lesson-conference, lesson-dialogue, and others), and individual conversations. For diagnostics, developed questionnaires of qualitative and quantitative analysis were used. The comparative analysis shows that, at the beginning of the experiment, out of the 142 participants, 47 had a relatively high level of valeological culture, 61 had a middle level, and 34 a low one, while, at the end of experiment, out of the same 142 people, 56 had a high level of valeological culture, 60 had a middle level, and only 26 a low level. This significant increase of the indicators by the end of the experiment proves that the students that participated in the experiment have significantly developed interest in valeological culture.
