Memoirs of Siberian authors about the Decembrists
The article analyzes the specifics of Siberians' memories of the exiled Decembrists. The aim of the study is to identify the authentic features of the memoirs of Siberian authors in their connection with the phenomenon of the Decembrists, which had a tremendous impact on the socio-cultural development of the Siberian region. The work explores the main topics that worried the memoirists, the features of narrative construction, including the use of fictitious techniques in the narrative. The dynamics of mastering the image of the Decembrist by local residents is considered in detail: from the image of an educator carrying knowledge to a "folk" hero endowed with biblical features. Turning to the memoirs of Siberian authors about the Decembrists in a literary context and in connection with its influence on the formation of the Siberian text, we first introduce the memoirs of N.A. Belogolovy, P.I. Pershin-Karaksarsky, M.S. Znamensky, A.P. Sozonovich, M.D. Frantseva, S.I. Cherepanov, I.V. Efimov about the Decembrists in scientific discourse. Thus, an attempt is made to solve the problem of the unexplored corpus of memoirs of Siberian authors in the literary (not historical-source) aspect, in the context of the formation of the Siberian text. In addition, a comprehensive view of these sources is proposed, combining genre, imagological, mythopoeic, cultural and historical approaches. In the course of the research, the author comes to the following conclusions. The memoirs of Siberians about the Decembrists not only reiterated the values and beliefs that the Decembrists themselves adhered to, but also represented a special original text, including an individual author's intention. The multilevel palimpsest structure of memoir sources, highlighting someone else's word, at the same time represents a text that is still uneven due to its genre "immaturity" (and unique in this). It synthesizes various ways of the author's representation of the surrounding reality. In addition, the memoirs of Siberians, as a fragment of a specific historical time in which differential points of view on events are mounted, also become one of the existing "versions" of the Decembrist myth. The author declares no conflicts of interests.
