The role of the symbol in the arts creativity
The relations between Russian and French symbolism at the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX centuries are investigated. The article shows, that the poetry of some. French symbolists was decadent, when the Russian symbolists such as V. Ivanov in there creativity were realistic and positive.
