At comparison of originals and publications in «The Literary inheritance of Siberia» and assemblyof Potanin's letters conclusions are drawn on substandard textual criticism and sometimes conscious damage It is in studying oblastnichestvounderlined mistakes and incompleteness of bibliographies. On the basis of Potanin's statements distinction between partikuljarizm,separatism, oblastnichestvo and between terms «oblastnichesky» and «oblastnoy» is analyzed.
