Elections legal regulation in the UK of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland.
This article concerns basic categories and institutions of electoral law of the United Kingdom During the past few years the electoralsystem of the United Kingdom has been seriously changed and that had its impact on the development of the electoral law. In 1998 localrepresentative bodies were created in Scotland, Nothern Ireland and Wales. In 2000 the election committee was formed. At present thehouse of lords is being reformed and as a result it may become partly or fully elected. New technologies are introduced into the electionprocess and new methods of voting are being tested.
