Problems of holdinga court hearing when a defendant is absent
In the articlethe problems arising when a court hears a criminal case if a defendant is absent are discussed. It is suggested to widen a range ofgrounds to hold a court hearing if a defendant is absent including such ones as: if defendant avoids appearance in court, if defendantbeing under arrest refuses stand for hearing and his refusal is also confirmed by his defender. Concrete amendments for perfectionof Criminal Procedure Code are made by the author.
