The article provides description and analysis of archival sources contained in Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library accessible for the researchers of the involvement of US in conflict in South-East Asia at 1963-1969. The files relating to the Vietnam War serve as evidence for evaluation of foreign and military policy-making of the Administration, and of perceptions of American decision-makers, and for assessment of the impact of domestic developments on transformation of US foreign policy in the sixties.
