Artistic heritage of Oliver Goldsmith's novel «The Vicar of Wakefield» in M.N. Muravyov's tale «The Inhabitant of the Suburb»
The article deals with the problem of M.N. Muravyov's reception the artistic heritage of an English novelist and poet Oliver Goldsmith and the problem of reflection the artistic merits of the English novel «The Vicar of Wakefield» in the Russian talc «The Inhabitant of the Suburb». Goldsmith's creative works present a synthesis of innovations of the literature of the Age of Enlightenment and Muravyov was first to innovations of the English writer to the Russian literature thus influenced the development of Russian sentimentalism.
