Genre originality of Y.P. Polonsky's poetre

Three verses by Y.P. Polonsky: «Knight's mistake» (1854), «At the Black See» (1855), «On Shipboard» (1856) are analysed in the article. The author concludes about their genre originality. It is ballads with some drama items. Symbolism of the emages gives to these verses some publicitism. Nature images play special role in these verses.
