The significance of the English tradition for V.A. Joukovsky working at the translation of the ballad «Lenore» by G.A. Burger
The research is devoted to the problem of the influence of the English translations of the ballad «Lenore» by G.A. Burger on V.A. Joukovsky's writings during his work at the «russian» ballad «Ljudmila». The aim of the research is to show the organic connection between the artistic experience of sentimentalism, from which the poet's creativity goes, and the incipient romantic school.
