Article presents historical and aesthetic overview of 1950-1960-s cybernetic art which is still not well known in Russian cultural research and art history. Author focuses on aesthetics of computer graphics (algorithmic painting and computer animation) and robotic sculpture. Evidence of modernist art tradition developed in cybernetic artistic experiments is demonstrated
