Woman problem as presented in Tennyson's «Idylls ofthe King» (A supplement to Victorian culture and society's view)
Alfred, Lord Tennyson seems to have been writing an early version of «Idylls of the King» with eager consideration of 'woman problem' England was to face in the mid-century decades. As the study shows, the patriarchal dominance was then being increasingly challenged by educated and/or powerful women and Tennyson, in looking for reasons, outshapes the patterns of feminine threat and prompts the approaches to regaining the masculine control. Vivien, Enid and Guinevere of the 'Idylls' become recognizable Victorian cultural types to which a man-ruled society can now react correspondingly
