Methods and tools of government regulation of structural changes in industry
The paper addresses a number of issues concerning the methods and tools of government regulation that aim to induce structural changes in industry. The author highlights those methods and tools that can be effectively applied during the crisis period and outlines the features of direct and indirect methods in question. The methods that enable us to manage the process of structural change on macro- and microeconomic level as well as regional and institutional level are grouped together. The author puts forward the idea of introducing some changes to the current fiscal and monetary policies, which can facilitate the dynamic modernisation of the domestic industry
