The influence of Stalin's death on working out the Policy of Eisenhower's administration towards the USSRand Eastern European Countries (March-June 1953)
In this article the author analyses decision-making and adoption process of American foreign policy conception and the role of Soviet and Eastern Europe factors in this strategy. The conceptual regulations are examined, which President Eisenhower's administration had developed. These regulations had to add the offensive character of the American policy towards the Soviet block. Also in this article the author describes the practical steps of Eisenhower's administration towards the USSR and Eastern European countries in the period of the new situation after Stalin's death and the change of the Soviet leadership.
