Gender problems and management as an object of research

This article deals with cognitive models, administrating conscience and behaviourof individuals. This administrating is revealed due to gender stereotypes and gender perceptions. They deal with such questions asthe areas of action of men and women, social roles, the possibility of the alignment of different social roles, personal characteristics ofleaders depending on the gender. The revealed gender aspects of consciousness obtain the authors interpretation. Communication of agender with inconsistent conditions of consciousness and behaviour is shown. The contradictions caused by gender-stereotypes of consciousnessof respondents are illustrated on the empirical data. Gender is represented as one of resources of management. Gender influencesmen and women, rates of their changes, their professional and other kinds abilities. In this case, hardly anyone associates difficultiesin their personal realization with manifestations of gender. Gender is rooted in the minds sine early childhood in the form of genderattitudes and gender stereotypes. The latter are implicitly embedded in the norms, rules and values of gender culture as socially determinedattitudes to the specificity of male and female, the distribution of social roles between men and women, the relationship betweentheir social status. Gender culture manages all individuals without exception, regulating relations between the sexes through a set ofrules and norms of social interaction of individuals according to gender. These rules and regulations are embodied in the values andtraditions of the culture. The influence of gender is not obvious, but nevertheless everyone is under this influence, as well as under theinfluence of norms and values of gender culture. An individual constructs a system of their relations with the outside world on the basisof the acquired gender attitudes and gender stereotypes. Interacting with others, s/he only gets a confirmation of acceptance in the cultureof norms and rules concerning the specific nature of the interactions between men and women. As a result, stereotypes are not onlyrepeatedly reinforced, but also presented as a controlling force in its interaction with other people. The article analyses gender stereotypesas an example of manifestation of gender culture. Examination of gender stereotypes concerning management, personal characteristicsof a manager depending on gender is carried out at the empirical level. In addition, the attitude of respondents to statements, whichare predetermined to be gender-stereotyped, is revealed.
