Alexis de Tocqueville: the concept of aristocracy
The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of aristocracy, which was developed byAlexis de Tocqueville in the context of historical investigation of the Great French revolution prerequisites. The scientist exposed thecorrelation of the nobility and bourgeoisie interests in the epoch of French Old order. The concept helps to understand the social conditionalityof the revolutionary process at the end of the 18th century in France. It attracts interest of the modern Western historiographyrepresentatives, who pretend to reinterpret the history of the Great French revolution.
