Development of a didactic system model for activating cognitive independence of junior courses engineering students

Theeducational standard of Tomsk Polytechnic University imposes additional to federal, regional, and university requirements: a modernspecialist must know how to supplement and to renew knowledge, to carry out a search, to make original decisions, to be a creative personalityindependently. As a result, there are consequences for organizing the training process such as increasing of the role of independentwork, individual training, importance of methodological directivity, generating of creative thinking, initiating of the activity ofeducational process participants. To realize these requirements, it is necessary to create specified pedagogical conditions. The conceptpedagogical technology in the educational practice is used at three hierarchically coordinative levels. In accordance with the levels ofpedagogical technology we determine three levels of pedagogical conditions: 1. The general pedagogical (general didactic) level. Thegeneral pedagogical technology characterizes the integral educational process in this region, in an educational institution and a certainlevel of training. It means that the pedagogical technology is synonymous to the pedagogical system: it includes the totality of the content,means and methods of instruction, the algorithm of the activity of subjects and objects of the process. These are methodologicalpedagogical conditions. 2. The object level. The object technology is determined as a particular procedure, i.e., the totality of methodsand means used for realization of the specific content of instruction and training, for example, within the framework of one trainingdiscipline. These are systematic pedagogical conditions. 3. The local (modular) level. The local technology is a technology of differentparts of the training - cognitive processes, solutions of particular didactic problems (such as technology of independent work, technologyof concepts forming). These are content-organizational and motivational-volitional pedagogical conditions. The developed model ofa didactic system includes the requirements of government educational standards, education purposes and result, training material, instructor,student and the pedagogical conditions such as: methodological, systematic, content-organizational, motivational-volitional.
