Using potential of interaction between Tomsk universities and profile schools to improvequality of teaching Physics
Theprocess of creation of innovative scientific and industrial production requires special training of the personnel starting from school.However, the quality of preparation for significant subjects such as physics and mathematics reduces at school. New educationalstandards require new results of education. In order to resolve these problems the experience of cooperation of universities and schoolsin Tomsk is considered. Series of seminars were held where different directions of cooperation were discussed including the preparationof pupils to exams and research work, use of laboratories and equipment of the universities. A profound study of subjects takes the mainplace. The opportunities of profiled education in the institutions of further education should be considered separately. It was revealedthat cooperation is not depleted, universities have additional resources. An expert view is presented. 1) Monitoring of pupils progressand inclusion of students in the research work on the basis of resources of the university is necessary. This is important not only forschools, but for the university. It is necessary to create a group of researchers, consisting of representatives of school and universityeducation managers to implement a continuous monitoring system - a profile of school and higher education. 2) It is necessary to usethe potential of interaction of school and university in the form of realization of joint research projects organized in laboratories ofuniversities. In the course of performance of joint projects pupils put knowledge into practice, have possibility to carry out their firstresearches. 3) Diversification of forms of classes for pupils including education of pupils together with the students is required. Themodel of Finland should be adopted for recording such classes. Within the interaction between school and university it is possible toorganize schoolchildren's visits of university classes (lectures) together with students. This will give pupils an opportunity to acquireadditional knowledge on the subject, the study of which is required for entering the university, to perceive the specificity of theorganization of university education. 4) Students should be used to give classes to pupils as it is done in specialized educationalscientific centres in Russia. A possible form of organisation of interaction between students and schoolchildren is through volunteering.The former graduates of schools - students, post-graduate students conduct classes, tutorials, and special courses, supervise research ofpupils at school on a voluntary basis. 5) A resource centre between universities and schools of the city should be created and it isnecessary to conduct further training of teachers taking into account the new requirements to the quality of education of pupils. 6)Teachers of profile classes should be able to independently carry out research in the field of education. The research that was carried outprovides a means of evaluating different approaches to refinement of physical-mathematical education.
