Cluster dynamics of potential economics education development
A multi-dimensional statistical (dispersing and cluster) analysis of quality of higher school applicants for the integrated group of specialties (profiles) "Economics" on the basis of the results of entry tests of 2011-2012. On the basis of parametrical T-criterion and nonpara-metric U-criterion of Mann-Whitney for two independent samples a conclusion about an insignificant difference of quality of students enrolled by the Unified State Examination mean score in 2011-2012 is made. Despite the exterior stability of quality of students rough local dynamics in distribution of results of the Unified State Examination is revealed in 2011-2012. 14 cluster high-quality dynamic models of higher schools for "Economics" distinguished significantly all clusters by sets of indexes (a mean score of the Unified State Examination, its difference for 2012 and 2011, and the number of the enrolled), state-financed places (X-criterion of Wilks), parametrical F-criterion, rank criterion of Kraskel-Willis, and the median test. Within the analysis homogeneous groups of clusters are selected for each indicator. Qualitative classification of higher schools by "Economics" is made basing on different criteria. Outcomes of similar clustering of higher schools can be considered within the ongoing reform of higher education, for example, when making decisions about optimization of the net of higher schools and their financing.
