Astragalus katunicus Pjak (Fabaceae) - a new species from the Republic of Altai (Russia)

A new species of of the genus Astragalus L. - Astragalus katunicus Pjak (sect. Paraphaca R. Kam.) from the Republic of Altai (Russian Federation) is described. Photos of the holotype and pictures of wild plants in locus classicus are given. The key for identification of the species of Astragalus (sect. Paraphaca) occurring in the territory of the Altai Republic is proposed.
