The journal "Siberian Historical Research" is looking for authors - professional and independent researchers, post-graduates, master's students - to review new books on anthropology and related disciplines. Reviews of two types are accepted for publication:
- informative (500-1000 words) - describe the purpose and content of the work (in the form of a thoughtful summary of the text rather than a chapter-by-chapter description), include evaluation and criticism in a very concise form. Function - to inform the readers of the journal about the appearance of a new book;
- critical (1500-3000 words) - include a thoughtful summary of the book, systematically evaluate the work and place it in an academic context. The function is to launch a discussion on interesting issues raised in the reviewed text.
Critical reviews are accepted for works published no more than three years before the current one for Russian texts and no more than five years for foreign ones. Informative reviews should be devoted to the works published in the last two years.
