Heavy metals concentration in plants of field and poic agrophytocenoses in conditions of anthropogenic contamination of soil cover
A conducted study of contamination of plants growing on field and poic agrophytocenosesclose to industrial enterprises allowed for the fist time to identify plants speciesand families accumulating heavy metals in excessive amounts. In the course of the study it was revealed that:- wild weeds formed in conditions of anthropogenic effect of large industrial centerhad higher elasticity to priority pollutants as compared to cultural plants artificiallygrown;- a higher concentration of heavy metals in agrophytocenoses plants was found inhydromorphic peat soil of low-lying type that could be related to increased concentrationof organic substance in peat as compared to sod-podzol easy loam soil, as well as intensiveagricultural activity on lands located close to poultry factory Octiabrskaya;- with anthropogenic contamination by heavy metals an ecological factor of plantselemental content formation became dominant. In the areas of ascertained geochemicalabnormalities heavy metals mobility in soil-plant system increased significantly allowingtheir excessive accumulation in plants;- distributional patterns of cobalt, tin, lead, nickel, manganese, copper, zink, zirconium, and cromium in plants of field and poic agrophytocenoses were revealed. Theplants were grouped according to their resistance to heavy metals accumulation;- for the first time there were revealed species and families of herbal plants accumulatingheavy metals in maximal and minimal amounts, and those with contrast selectivecapacity to accumulation of individual elements;- it was experimentally proved that plants had selective capacity to accumulation ofchemical elements. It was revealed that the higher the number of microelements withwide spectrum of concentrations combined in one plant is, the higher an ecological amplitudeof this plant grows, and, as a result, the higher its adaptation capacity in conditionsof anthropogenic contamination is.
