Problems of organisation of educational work with convicts in corrective services

Corrective services are responsible for organising and conducting educational work with convicts sentenced to imprisonment, correctional labour, deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities. At the same time, the current penal legislation of the Russian Federation and other regulatory legal acts do not establish the forms and methods of carrying out such work, since Art. 109, 110 of the of the RF Correctional Code regulate the organisation of educational influence on convicts only convicted to imprisonment. Educational work with convicts non-isolated from society, who do not show a positive stable line of behaviour while serving their sentences, should be carried out in volumes stipulated by the current legislation of the Russian Federation, and it can be optimised only for convicts positively characterised in this respect.
