Fixation of the results of experimental investigative procedures: criminal procedure and forensic aspects

The article considers the set of criminal procedure rules and tactical methods of such investigative procedures as an investigative experiment, verification of evidence on the spot and presentation for identification. The emphasis is on the written, visual and graphical methods of fixing the results of the experimental investigative procedure. Analysis of group rules and techniques characteristic of a particular group of investigative procedures is the content of the current stage of the study of investigative procedures. In contrast to the search investigative procedures, the discussion on the expediency of drawing up a protocol of the investigative procedure directly at the site of the investigative procedure is not relevant for experimental investigative procedures. Since the latter are traditionally not considered urgent and initial in domestic forensic science, there is no need to draw up a protocol of these procedures at the site of their conduct. The expediency of using standard forms of experimental investigative procedures is still debated. Of course, it was not necessary to record the standard form of the protocols of experimental investigative procedures as mandatory in the RF Criminal Procedure Code, but the recommendation of a detailed standard form of a departmental protocol is seen as objectively necessary. Investigators themselves, when filling in the points of this form "Has photo shooting been used?", "Has video shooting been used?", "What appendices for the protocol . . . are there?", will be forced to take a critical look at the results of the work done, if their answers are negative. The negative form of the answer can also be an indirect basis for assessing the professionalism of investigators as a whole.
