Criminal Persecution in the Buryat Customary Law

From ancient times, and in some legal systems to the present, customs play an important role in regulating the life of society. Since customs are inextricably linked with society and reflect the level of its development and prevailing values, the results of their study will make it possible to outline ways of improving the current legislation, including constructing new criminal procedures. On the basis of the historical analysis of the legal customs of various Buryat clans, the authors attempt to show the dependence of the content of the considered rules on the accompanying objective circumstances.
