On the Content of the Principle of Justice in Criminal Law

The article analyses the content of the principle of justice. First of all, attention is drawn to its influence on the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation. The principle of justice is one of the main provisions of the Russian criminal law. The Russian criminal law demonstrates its ambiguous interpretations, partly due to its limited content in the current version of Article 6 of the Criminal Code of Russia, which substantiates the belonging of the principle under study only to the institution of punishment and other penal measures. However, the content of the principle of justice should not be limited to this, since it should apply to all norms of the criminal law.
