The informatization of rural libraries: problems and solutions (based on activities of libraries of Verkhneketskiy, Teguldetskiy and Chainskiy districts of Tomsk region)

In modern libraries informatization processes actively pass in all spheres of activities involving the use of new computer technology, search, collection, storage and use of information. Analytical annual reports of central libraries of Verkhneketsky, Teguldetskiy and Chainsky districts of Tomsk region, with both statistical and descriptive information were used as the material for the study in this article, because of it's informational completeness. This material can be proven in any time. Computerization of library processes requires the development of material resources: computers, scanners, printers, presentation equipment, digital video equipment. Rural libraries of Tomsk region are in a difficult financial situation, however, they use a variety of possibilities (budget financing, project and grant activities, sponsorship) for the formation of its own fleet of computer technology. This process in very important because of the modern tendencies in educational and science spheres. One of the most important areas of library activities, appeared with the introduction of information technology, is an electronic document delivery (EDD) involves the removal service for readers documents in electronic form, which is especially important in rural areas, geographically remote from the major cultural and educational administrative centers. The data about the number of transmitted documents is an important element of reporting the work of the library. It allows to create a united informational field. The most important results of informatization of Verkhneketsky libraries, and Teguldetskiy and Chainsky districts were the websites that provide information about library products and services. The presence of a website in the library is not only a positive factor means dissemination of information, but also these mean attracting readers. In rural libraries based on the software "Library 4", "Ruslan" catalogs of books, filing papers, essays, scripts, local history information base "Source" are maintained in electronic form, so it allows to deal with information in more useful and appropriate way. With the help of a computer technology the readers of libraries gained access to remote information and legal resources: "ConsultantPlus", "Garant", "FAPSI", etc. Librarians improve their professional skills to improve the efficiency of modern technology within a variety of educational programs of Tomsk Regional Scientific Library.
