Current state of library service based on the example of libraries of Omsk

In this article, author reveals the current state of library service based on the example of Omsk and related changes of it. The new operating conditions of libraries, the attitude towards the information requirements and interests of users are covered. The condition of library service at the present stage based on the example of libraries of Omsk is covered in this article. The new operating conditions of libraries, the attitude towards information requirements and interests of users are covered. Scientific works of such scientists, as O.V. Lutchenko, A.V. Lissitsky were analyzed. The materials that been collected during training in Omsk during the period from October 19 to October 29, 2014 were used. In article introduction of new information technologies, namely introduction of ABIS IRBIS, RFID technologies, and the following libraries of Omsk is considered: Omsk state regional library of A.S. Pushkin, scientific library of Omsk state technical university (NB to OMGT), and scientific agricultural library of FGBOU OMGAU of P.A. Stolypin. All above allowed to draw conclusions that libraries are at the stage of introduction of new information technologies today, it changesits status and value in life of society, and it possess huge potential, and seeks for full reorganization of the principles of the organization of library service.
