Biography of Chopin in the cinematic arts

The paper analyzes the feature and documentary films about the biography of Chopin: "The desire of love" live-action film, directed by Jerzy Antczak (2002, Poland), "Traces of Chopin" (2007, France), directed by Allen Dualt, Valerie Esposito, documentaries: "Warsaw Chopin", "The Art of Chopin" (aired on the channel "Culture 01.03.2010). Contemporary screen culture is a collection of myths that are created under the laws of the mass consciousness. Cinematography, like the myth focuses on imitation of reference samples by manipulating values, creating the illusion of reality, new myths that are born screen makes up for the limited human capabilities. The figure of Chopin, his creativity and music create a special myth in the public mind, which acquires additional details and nuances dictated by the political situation in the country. Biography of the composer transformed depending on the movie genre and creativity of filmmakers.
