The visual phenomenon in the political representation

The article deals with the content and correlation between such concepts as "symbolic representation", "cultural tradition" and "the image of academical Tomsk". Based on the analysis of these concepts the author makes a logical transition to the representative identification of symbolically constructed virtual reality "Tomsk" in the time frame of tradition / innovation. As a consequence the author comes to the conclusion about symbolic representation of Tomsk image as an element of constituted cultural memory.
