The problem of definability of personality and individual existence of man in Christian anthropology V.N. Lossky
The article analyzes the notion of personality elaborated in the works of the outstanding Christian Theologian V.N. Lossky. The principles of Christian doctrine about personality defined by Lossky and used in his theory of personality are revealed. This author puts forward a well-reasoned thesis about the absence of the substantial foundation of human personality. Developing this thesis he proves the indefinability of the notion of personality. This problem can be solved with a philosophical approach suggested in the article. This approach is based on a holistic anthropological concept of man which integrated individual, personality and individuality of man.
