The work of modern rural libraries of the Tomsk region in local history with children and young people

Modern rural library is designed to solve many problems and perform a variety of functions - cultural, educational, social, ecological, etc. The article is devoted to the activity of municipal libraries of Kar-gasoksky, Krivosheinsky and Molchanovsky districts of Tomsk region in local history with children and young people. The content, forms and results of work of rural libraries in historical, literary and aesthetic study of local history are investigated. Such directions of activity, as lessons of regional studies, competitions, creation of museums of local history, the organisation of research work of pupils are investigated. Thus, the competence of the rural library is to facilitate the educational process by students with the resources of funds regional literature. Fund consists of books, periodicals, posters, cards, electronic documents, audio- , film- and photo documents. A number of rural libraries independently carries out local history lessons for schoolchildren and students. In the children's library in Krivosheino works videolektory. Nichol'skaya and Belostokskaya libraries (Krivosheinsky district) conduct interviews and quizzes on the history of the villages. Krivosheinskaya library regularly holds meetings with students of Tomsk branch of the Economics and Industrial College . Studying the history of the settlement, one can not ignore its nature, so local history work has points of contact with environmental education. Library for students organize some conferences, quizzes, educational games aimed at forming ideas about the flora and fauna, environmental issues of region. Rural libraries are often the initiators of the mini-museums and craft workshops. On this stuff is working on patriotic education of the younger generation. For example, in Volodinskaya library (Krivosheinsky district) was created local history museum, was organized master classes on embroidery.
