The training of professionals in the field of museology and heritage protection within the Master's program
Tradition of training in museology have already almost a century of history in Europe and the U.S.A., and Russia. One of the oldest in this regard is the Louvre School (established in 1882), the beginning of museology course readings here accounted for in 1920. And in the early 1940 formed a separate department of theoretical and applied museology. In 1960 in the UK at the University of Leicester was opened museum studies department , the initiative belonged to R. Singleton . Today, the University of Leicester is one of Europe's largest centers for training of masters of arts museums. In 1963 Masaryk University (Czech Republic) established the Department of Museology. In teaching Russian museol-ogy was first undertaken by the Archaeological Institute in Moscow . In 1988, the Institute of Culture began to implement an educational program "Museology and protection of monuments". In the 1990, the 2000 in our country was opened some 30 departments that train specialists in this field. Degree programs are being implemented only in some universities and focused on exhibition activities , socio-cultural design, museum practice . In the Altai State University has a program "Historical and cultural heritage: the study, preservation and use." Its purpose is key in preparing a competent professional in the field of museology and heritage preservation, in the formation of body of knowledge and skills in the techniques of scientific study of cultural values, innovative design forms of preservation and use of cultural and natural heritage. The program is compatible with potential employers. In addition to competence, proposed federal state educational standards, the master's program involves the development of additional competencies. Specificity of the master's program determines theme of master's thesis: Analysis of historical and cultural resources in Russia (modern ways and problems of research heritage monuments ) research, development and testing of new methods of preservation and development of cultural and natural heritage , a project dedicated to the development of conceptual models of the museum , museum institution , the concept of a museum exposition, a project to create concepts of regional policy in relation to the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the region, monitoring and assessment, and ways to use the cultural and natural heritage.
