Currently publications about the phenomenon of scientific schools, their importance for the development of library science and librarianship increasingly appear in professional printing. Scientific School - a recognized team of experts led by the leader, having a distinctive method and methodology of the study, which is reflected in its ongoing scientific studies and dissertation research. Scientific schools, established in educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education, define and shape professional competence and communication skills for scientific work of their graduates for a long time. Dissertation abstracts are an important source of information for scientists and library scientists, librarians, practitioners and students engaged in scientific activities. They content in a concise and concentrated form, the main results, methods and practical significance of the thesis . Research results, developed techniques and proven methods - urgent problem today due to the weak interaction between research groups and libraries. A study conducted on the basis of one library can be quite known to most others. As the analysis of theses defended in the dissertation council at SPSL (1996-2012), development of methodology, research methods in Siberia and the Far East, came with a slow expansion of the list of the methods used. However, now we can distinguish the differences in the principles, approaches and methods of research in different scientific schools, established in the library. Demands of a dynamic society imposed on librarianship, increasingly cause the introduction and use of new approaches and methods of work. Their development, adaptation and testing, as well as active implementation in daily activities would avoid in library practice many mistakes and blunders in everyday activities. In the meantime, the main directions of research library theory and practice do not always coincide, because the main customers of scientific and practical studies are authorities, for the theory - scientific organizations. And these customers present different goals and objectives.
