Youth exhibitions in conditions of modern culture
The article discusses some aspects of youth exhibitions as part of modern culture. Participation in art-exhibition activity promotes self-realization of young artists and stimulates interest of the creative activity. The paper presents a historical review about organization of youth exhibitions in Tomsk, since the first regional exhibition of young artists in April 1971. At present, there are urban and regional youth exhibitions in Siberia. In this way, young artists of some regions may to compare themselves with artists from other regions and exchange experience. Young authors, using the Internet now, may freely access information about the date and venue of exhibitions and may apply for participation. Organization of youth exhibitions supported various programs to promote artistic creativity of young people. Among the organizers, there are the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Department of Culture, the Association «Union of Artists of Russia» and the creative community of young artists. Youth Exhibition, carried for artists, which age does not exceed 35 years, for such exhibitions usually do not specify a topic, the main condition becomes to provide new interesting works created over the past years. There are encouraged to experiment, searches, innovative techniques and unusual visual form at youth exhibitions. Exhibition spaces of youth exhibitions are various platform. At youth exhibitions can be found the traditional genres of art: drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and contemporary art forms installations and video art. It is concluded that the exhibition activity promotes personal development of young artists, activates cognitive activity, and promotes individual initiative and the commitment to professional work.
