Directions of the informatization in municipal rural libraries of Tomsk region (for example of the Kargasoksky, Krivosheinsky and Molchanovsky districts)

In the context of the formation of post-industrial civilization, informatization of various spheres of life has become a strategically important area of social development. Changes, that took place in 1990-2000, created an entirely new medium of existence of the library community, which formed a vast array of information resources in electronic media, there was a significant proportion of virtual users who are ready to receive library and information services remotely, new institutions that provide information services to the great masses of the population (sites, portals). With the help of computer technology libraries in Tomsk region are working to create their own electronic resources: bibliographic bases (for example, on local history, legislation), and electronic catalogs, developing virtual book exhibitions, thematic indexes. Relevant to modern rural libraries is to create your own website. The site has a search engine, organized feedback from users, there are forums, conducted a survey about the quality of the sites being stat calls, calendars of events, regularly updated news feed. Way to inform about the library's resources and feedback from users are able to become social networks («Facebook», «Vkontakte»). Libraries can create their own groups, talk about events, post electronic resources, to conduct discussions on the forums. This may attract the attention of a large part of the youth audience. Therefore, one of the priorities of the rural libraries include the provision of information services to the public, as readers learning the basics of information retrieval, hands-on training on the use of electronic information resources, guidebooks and instructions to assist in the preparation of information users, providing access to a virtual learning system, virtual legal consulting.
