Forms of local history work on the library websites (for example of districts of Tomsk region library websites)

The paper discusses the implementation of districts of the Tomsk regions libraries' local history work on the Internet. Local history work is an important for rural libraries, it directs to preserving local cultural traditions, social memory. Such work in the virtual space can significantly extend the range of users, to provide local history resources and services efficiently. Access to this information is open at any time, which is important for the modern user. The article presents the views of local history resources, placed on the websites of districts of the Tomsk region' libraries, in social networks. As a rule, on the sites of rural libraries are special sections «Local history» (names of sections may be different). Local history work is so important that websites may have several special sections. Local history material can be also placed on a separate resource, wich organized by rural libraries and connected this their websites. Library's local history content on the websites includes: digitized documents and newspapers articles, historical surveys of the libraries, villages, districts of Tomsk region, local outstanding residents, individual periods of life of the district and village (especially the Great Patriotic War), photos, local writers and poets works, local history bibliography, local history virtual exhibitions, news, information of the local history contests. Such information can be placed almost in all sections of the library website. In addition to local history works, the results of which are presented on the libraries' websites, rural libraries of Tomsk region are involved in the creation of a consolidated database of local history resources «Local history of Tomsk region», which is led by the Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library in the name of A.S. Pushkin and is located on its website. Thus, even the libraries of the Tomsk region, which do not have their own sites, are preparing regional studies of products, which are posted on the Internet. Local history works carried out by libraries on their own websites and in social networks, which also increases the number of users.
