Randomly effects in contemporary visual culture: domination of digital and analogue media
Relevance of the research is caused by insufficient development of theoretical understanding of such widespread phenomenon in the artistic practice as the effects of randomness. Effects of randomness is effects of the accident, unexpected images that arise during the dialogue of artist with his instrument. The problem is that until now has not been investigated question of the relationship between artist and tools for creation the effects of randomness in contemporary visual culture. The purpose of research is to reveal features of the effects of randomness in contemporary visual culture in a comparative analysis of the digital and analog environment. Subject of research is the modern visual culture. The object of study is the effects of randomness in contemporary visual culture. Materials for the research are the art works and design objects. Methods of research: analysis and synthesis, comparative method, cultural approach. This article discusses a variety of digital and analog technology applications and analyzes the essence of effects of chance in a virtual (digital) and material (analog) space. The effects of chance are an inexhaustible space of the experiment, of new images and textures, unique visual information. The process of the artist's work with tools, the outcome of which is not known beforehand, is very fascinating. Each of the tools in its own way attracts artists, mesmerizing and participates in the creation of visual messages. This attractiveness may be perceived as a power. There is a redistribution of influence on the final result of the work from person to materials and tools. Authors are detected reasons why the artist is ready to give his power in the creation of visual images to the tools. The effects that were not predicted beforehand, and are largely dependent on digital or analog media, gives to artist the opportunity to express his own emotions as well as to receive a wide variety of color, texture or ornamental moods
