Presentation of musical education professor of Tomsk State University N.A. Alexandrova (1858-1936). Assesses N.A. Alexandrov as a lecturer-musicologist, music reviewer and promoter of the art of music. Professor Nikolay Aleksandrovich Aleksandrov, who for over thirty years, one of the most respected professors of Tomsk State University, belongs to the well-known Russian scientists in the field of pharmaceutics. Alexandrov's family arrived in Tomsk in mid-1900 years. Together with Nikolai Alexandrovich came the wife of A.Ya. Alexandrova-Levenson, great pianist, graduate of the Moscow Conservatory. The wife of the Professor a few months began to take part in concerts and writing reviews in Tomsk newspaper. Natural musical talent, huge efficiency and perseverance allowed Nikolay Aleksandrovichu acquire extensive knowledge in the field of music. In Moscow, he took lessons in composition from the Moscow Conservatory Professor A.S. Arensky. In 1908-1909 years Aleksandrov elected to the Directorate of the Tomsk branch of the Russian music society and remained an active participant in all activities of society until the termination of the activities of the Office. No major musical venture in Tomsk did not without participation of N. Alexandrov. In 1913, he became a member of the Board of regent course, open in the city at the initiative of the merchant P.I. Makushin. N. Alexandrov in various editions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tomsk published about 500 notes, articles, reviews on musical themes. Unfortunately, this huge interesting material of musical culture has not yet disclosed fully and not fully understood. Enthusiastically Alexandrov belonged not only to the concerts of symphonic music, but also showed interest in music of Siberian peoples. Aleksandrov went with a group of enthusiasts to the Museum of local lore and actively participated in the Organization of events. In the year 1922 was a great evening, on which stood the representatives of indigenous peoples of the Altai. Activity of Aleksandrov was so high that he managed to take part not only in the activities of the Music Department of the Imperial Russian musical society, but also participated in the Organization of concerts of sacred music, opera performances. In early August 1936 Nikolay Alexandrovich became seriously ill and died on September 6, 1936. Musical outreach N.A. Alexandrova became a shining example of the participation of representatives of the professor's Corps in the remarkable development of musical culture of the University of Tomsk.
