Observations laws compositional work of the artist with the upper register

This article touches upon the problems of upper case arrangement and its role in a balanced work organization. It also deals with the interaction between the structural and graphical, and continuously compositional aspects of the picture. In this article the author observe show the problem is solved within masterpieces and young artists' works as well. All the elements of an imaginative work compose a one whole system of a picture. The balance in a piece of art implies a harmonic arrangement of composition elements, when each item is found in a steady position. The shapes, position and direction of the masses in the well-balanced composition are mutually causal. And that very "weight" of the composition depends on the pictorial element location. It is important not only to arrange items within the composition, but also take into consideration the background empty space, which should be perceived as rhythmical intervals, and pay attention to the reason able figural mass arrangement and the interspaces. The relevance of the question under consideration could not leave the author indifferent. This problem arose from the observation of the results of students' academic and creative activity, their research in the field of composition, and the exposed paintings by young artists. Moreover, the author faced such problem making mistakes in personal works as well. The analysed problem consists in the artificial approach to the solution for the question of upper case organization in easel works. However, this approach can't be found in the masterpieces performed by ancient artists, the Renaissance painters or muralists. Besides, in the article there are particularly attractive ways of composition arrangement, used by the painters in their canvases. Studying the models, which stood the test of time, competing with the masters in composition and geometry, trying and searching for original and sometimes ingenious solutions - theseare the alternative variants of the conventional approach to the work on the composition; and the arrangement of the picture upper case is just a small aspect of a huge layer of knowledge, which is yet neglected by a young artist.
