On the question of attribution of the collection of traditional clothing of indigenous peoples of the North-east Siberia in the collections of the Irkutsk Regional Local History Museum

Collection of clothing of the indigenous peoples of the North-East Siberia Irkutsk regional Museum of local lore is considered one of the finest ethnographic collections of Siberia. As a result of the poor documentation of Museum exhibits in XIX - beg. of XX vv. more than 1000 subjects were included later in the so-called «from old Museum» or «warehouse» Museum of not properly indicate ethnicity and time to produce. Traditional clothing is part of the real part of the culture, fair presentation of which cannot be implemented in full, if there is no link in the source base. Relevance of the research. conditions of modern society development is rapidly disappearing traditional cultural characteristics of individual Nations. In this regard, the role of Museum exhibits, often the only remaining evidence of ability to live of a people. When using the exhibits as ethnographic sources need to have reliable information on attribution. The object of study are various aspects of the attribution of individual items from the collections of the peoples of the North-East Siberia, which began to emerge in mid- XIX century and actively practiced until 40-ies of XX century. The subject of this work a meeting of the Irkutsk regional Museum of peoples of the North-East Siberia and documents on the history of its formation and attribution. The extent of the problem. The analysis of scientific literature reassures that there virtually no descriptions and usage information about the collections of the peoples of the North-East Siberia from the collection of the Irkutsk regional Museum of local lore. The aim of the research is to identify and address problems of attribution and scientific description of the collections of the peoples of the North-East Siberia in IOKM funds. Theoretical and methodological basis of the study comprised the work of native historians, ethnographers outlining approaches and principles studying ethnic culture, work, in which the authors have developed a classification and functions of traditional clothing (p. g. Bogatyrev, G.m. Vasilevich, n.f. Prytkova, etc.), archival material stored in the funds of the Irkutsk regional Museum and the State archive of the Irkutsk region. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that it introduces into scientific circulation had not previously described the collection of funds of the Irkutsk regional Museum of local lore. The theoretical and practical importance of the work. The destruction of traditional ways of life of indigenous peoples of Siberia in the 20th century caused the revival processes at the turn of the century ethnic awareness and interest in its cultural heritage and ancient original traditions. the results of attribution and scientific description of clothing from the Museum's collection can be used to create an objective picture of the life of indigenous people of the North-East Siberia at the end of XIX century, for the reconstruction of ancient rites and ceremonies of the indigenous population of the North-East Siberia.
