Formation of the municipal museums Parabel district of Tomsk region (1985-2015)

This article is devoted to process of formation of the municipal museums of Parabel district of Tomsk region during the period since 1985-2015. In 2015 in the territory of Parabelsky district 4 museums worked: Local History museum, the museum of fighting and labor glory name of I. M. Demenin, art gallery and the museum of political repression to the village of Narym, branch of the Tomsk regional museum of Local History of name M.B. Shatilova. In 1987 the Local History museum was founded in Parabel, which was a school for 10 years. In 1997 it was transferred to the jurisdiction of Department of culture, and in 1998 it was given the status of district. The exposition of the museum reflects the animal and natural world of the area, life and major activities of indigenous inhabitants of the region - Selkups. One of the halls represents an interior of a peasant's hut the XIX-XX centuries. In the territory, adjacent to the museum, household constructions are provided: barn, blacksmith shop, Selkup log hut, well. In 1985 the museum of fighting and labor glory of name I.M. Demenina was founded. The exposition of the museum tells about participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, local wars and the conflicts and the victims of repression 1935-1953 years. In 1998 the museum of fighting and labor glory becomes branch of the Local History museum of Parabel district. In the museum material on the following subjects is built: parabelets in the Great Patriotic War, the victims of repressions of the 1930-1950th, local wars, modern army. The art gallery of Parabel district is formed at the initiative of the artist A. N. Dashchenko, which acquired the status of the district in 2000. In 2004 the art gallery becomes branch of the Local History museum of Parabel district. The gallery contains works of painting, drawing and sculpture. It presents works of 50 artists whose work reflects the Narym territory. The gallery contains more than 1,000 paintings, drawings today. The gallery includes the best works of such artists as the Siberian Gennady Zavyalov, Tatiana Belchikova Basil Cheremin, Yakov Popov, Anatoly Shumilkin, Gennady Lamanov and others. The main forms of work with visitors in the museums are excursions, lectures, an exhibitions and museums festivals. Completing of funds - thematic. Thus, during the years 1985-2015 in Parabel district was founded three municipal museums: Local History museum, Museum of military and labor glory of name I.M. Demenina and Art Gallery, each of them takes the important place in development of Parabel district.
