Belonging to the world of fire work: artist on Ural plants in XVIII - the beginning of XXI century
Character of the Ural plant was giving birth through the personal context of artist: draftsman, directly connected with the production, master of decorative art, undertaking functions of graphic artist or invited artist with the certain program. In the Urals an artist appears due to the appearance of plants and mountain schools at them. Education in similar establishments was limited to drawing bases. Graduating students usually executed drawing work in plant offices, drew charts and plans, devices of mechanisms and sequence of technological process. Similar work required the special rational constitution of mind and pedantic knowledge of device of the plant world. Heathen expressiveness, that is connected with strictness of draft , clarity of mechanics and tension of plant process, surprisingly will find a reflection in the Ural decoratively-applied art. In the first half of XIX century V.V. Raev, P.P. Vedenetsky, P.F. Hudoyarov and other begin to be interested in industrial characters ,plant action and the effects of illumination in hot workshops. In 1860 - 1890 technical pictures with artistic insertions and picturesque linens on documentary basis change illustrations of artistic texts. The selection of models for concrete popular plots with clear social problems will become the basic task of new generation of artists. The social cataclysms of XX century destroyed the ancient plant order and the original artistic layer and industrial art that were collected by decades. The set of stereotypes, poster characters appears in a soviet period. Most artists were limited to them. In the second half of XX century the painters (I.I. Simonov, A.V. Panteleev, M.Sh. Brusilovsky and other) changed poster aesthetics of social realism on industrial fantasy, symbolic or decorative compositions. At the beginning of XXI century the character of Ural plant will become interesting to masters of modern actual art. The way to the industrial theme and choice of artistic methods straightly depended on demonstration of master his belonging to the plant world, sometimes unusually native but sometimes strange. This world appears on pictures of XVIII - XX centuries as clear and rational or as mysterious and gloomy, it symbolizes scientific and technical progress or, opposite, sickly break of humanity with nature. There is a feeling of certain connection: artists of different epochs and different professional level, became one command, the creators of mythology of mining and metallurgical Ural that defined the Ural identity.
