The first art exhibitions and the beginning of development of art education in Tomsk in the XIX century were
Development of the fine art, development of art education and thought of origin of art gallery in Tomsk in the XIX century closely connected with exhibitions and the artists who were teaching in educational institutions. The Tomsk small national school has been open on 24 November, 1789 where drawing was among the taught disciplines. This discipline was conducted by one of teachers or special teacher who was invited. The Tomsk men's gymnasium has opened on December 10, 1838 where drawing, drawing and calligraphy were also taught. On June 2, 1854 Pavel Kosharov took place of the teacher of these objects. He graduated the Imperial Academy of Arts and his teachers were: K. Bryullov, I. Ayvazovsky, M. Vorobey. Since 1862 P. M. Kosharov began to teach also an iconography in the Tomsk theological seminary. In 1877 the artist passed into Alekseevsky real school which just opened, and since 1885 he gave free lessons in a Sunday class in training of drawing in Free library. In 1860 P. M. Kosharov has organized the first exhibition of the pictures in Tomsk which became the first art exhibition in the territory of Siberia. In 1877 there was a personal exhibition in Alekseevsky real school. In 1882 personal exhibitions in the Tomsk real school and in the hall of City Duma had held. On April 29, 1884 a personal exhibition was in the building of Alekseevsky real school from 30 pictures. In 1887 P. M. Kosharov organized the exhibition in the hall of the Tomsk Alekseevsky Real School for all educational institutions of Tomsk again. In the 1870th years the artist A.E. Mako arrived to Tomsk he taught drawing in a female gymnasium. Mako taught to work whis nature, going every summer to write etudes to Altai. On December 23, 1886 the artist A. E. Mako opened a daily exhibition of household and ethnographic pictures of Altai Aria in the former assembly hall of the old premises of theological seminary. On 6-12 April, 1887 there took place the city Ethnographic exhibition in the hall of City Council organized at the initiative of P. I. Makushin which was held in advantage of Society of care about primary education. P.M. Kosharov and A. Mako showed the landscapes from the Views of Altai series. On 26 November, 1894 in free library the opening of an art exhibition of the Russian and Tomsk artists had taken place. On 29 December, 1899 the Tomsk collectors and artists have organized an exhibition in the hall of a thought of petty-bourgeois society. In the XIX century in Tomsk artists had huge value in development of the fine arts and art education.
