The History of Russia's Image in The Hungarian literature

The research problem has two aspects. At first we can speak about possibility of extraction cultural meaning from belletristic literature. At second we are interesting of image of Russia in Hungarian literature. This research is founded on principles of structure and functional analysis, philosophic hermeneutic. First information about Russia connected with texts of Mor Jokai who was the great Hungarian novelist of XIX century. This author who admires Russia creates image of far country. Russia in his works is European country only in form. Writer describes country with help of concepts of exotic and riot. The main theme for M. Jokai about Russia is history of people and opposite movements, history of clash between Russian and Hungarian armies. Many factual errors highlight alienation of other country from subject. Russia presents in Hungarian literature on the turn of XIX-XX centuries fragmentary. The country appears some times in texts of K. Miksat fragmentary. Image of the country appears again only in 20-30th years. It was afternoons of the I World War. Russia in this period is war enemy for Hungarian authors. But we shouldn't see in this fact similar opposition. The writers (Z. Moriz, L. Nemet, D. Iyesh, F. Mora) try overcome negative attention to this object. At second the writers concretize perception of the country as dirty, dangerous and ignorant. Contrary to expectations the concept of Bolshevik danger is note used in this period. The Hungarian authors were forced to create only positive image of Russia after II World War and staying communist dictatorship. But it was very short period (only until 1956). After anticommunist revolution during Kadar's period until crushing of socialism writers use stereotypical views on the country which were formed in the past. In this case we talk about signs far distance and danger. All of this create situation of alienation between two cultures. Declarations of friendship and proximity of countries are not so important in this case as historical traditions of view. Today we see that stereotypes formed previously gain a more pronounced shape. The authors (P. Esterhazy, I. Kertes, D. Konrad and so on) imagine Russia in retrospective aspect. It is connected with negative Soviet experience. So Hungarian literature discourse demonstratives resistance of Russia's image. The main trait of it is alienation. It consists of concepts as distance, exotica, cultureless. These traits give possibility of forming of European identity.
