Experience of attracting tourists in activities of modern museums (on example of the British museum)
The article considers essential aspects in activity of museum on organization its work in current conditions. It is noted an importance of use modern innovation technologies to arrange significant communication with both interested cultural institutions, public and private agencies and in establishing of mutual communication to all targeted groups of visitors. Research made shows that the British museum is not only n important cultural institution but also a driver in cultural tourism industry of the country. In addition to academic and educational functions, museums of the UK attract millions of domestic and international tourists. This is positive reflected in the both the issues of promotion its history and culture and gaining a significant means for one's sustainable functioning. An experience of the British museum, its daily work on attraction of visitors, promotion of cultural and historical heritage is an important for use by other museums. The museum is a sample of correctly organised work that combine all elements and functions of classic museum, which is successfully using in its work the modern innovative technologies, methods of management and communication to attract interested public and private institutions and visitors. The British museum actively works the both in the country and other countries. Internal activity directed in organisation of regional exhibits. These events allow obtaining to visitors of regions direct access to the British museum collections and provide an essential support to regional museums and galleries in strengthening of links to their permanent visitors and engagement of new visitors. International work focused in organisation of temporary exhibitions and temporary loan of part of exhibits to other cultural institutions abroad. Annually significant number of the British museum exhibits are become a part of temporary exhibitions around the world. Using a modern innovative technologies and wide range of services that directed to engagement the both home and international visitors the British museum has become an important part of socioeconomic and political image of Great Britain.
