Minimalist design environmental posters
This research deals with questions of the stylistic decision (minimalism) of design of posters on the example of environmental disasters of the XX century. As the poster is one of striking examples of graphic design which reflects modern political, social, ecological, etc. aspects of life of society, it should be noted that poster art is capable to inform "figuratively" of communication (information to the viewer). Poster history in a research is presented by the main milestone events in development of poster art. The subject of environmental disaster is especially relevant within the taking place events in the world. Competent work of the designer with the fixed graphic assets allow designers to transfer symbols and the ideas to the viewer. We will emphasize that transfer by the designer of the idea is reached by the minimum graphic means which brightly reflect the concept of the poster. In work on the poster designers use art and graphic transmission media of semantic loading, such as photo, collage, font elements, computer and manual graphics. The analysis of the graphic and composite solution of examples of ecological posters of the present allows to speak about a metaphor as about the main reception in design of the poster. The research covers two directions of a metaphor - sharp and unsharp. The posters, in turn, reflecting environmental problems are based on the basic three principles of figurative and graphic expressiveness of the mass poster: "principle of unambiguity", "principle of laconicism" and "principle of synchronism". As a result, some characteristic features were revealed for a poster in the style of minimalism: the laconic composite structure of the poster, semantic loading is transferred by the designer through a metaphor, and all graphics on posters are stylized and have symbolical loading.
