Artistic and mythological essence of a musical text as the basis for the semantic analysis of works of art: search methodology
The article deals with the artistic and mythological essence of a musical text as a basis for semantic analysis of art works. Reading of the musical text as well as understanding of its hidden meanings are embedded in the expressive sound space structures, organized into the artistic and mythological concept of the composition. In the research, the author refers to the basic concepts of the myth theory by such scientists as E. Cassirer, K. Levi-Strauss, A.F. Losev, C.G. Jung, as well as the ideas of V.V. Medushevsky and I. Kant. In the works of the above scientists and philosophers, different forms of understanding the essence of a musical text are revealed. The musical piece may consist of a variety of forms as "algebra of semantic interactions" (V.V. Medushevsky). Thus, it possible to determine the artistic and mythological logic of the content of a musical composition. The internal dynamics and depth of a musical piece are viewed in the context of the of "logos-myth" (D. Vico) concept, which is differently interpreted in the conceptual provisitions about the theory-myth of E. Cassirer, C. Levi-Strauss, A.F. Losev and C.G. Jung. It is possible to consider the functional signs of the artistic and mythological picture of a musical text, which is based on a logical chain of various meanings, which personify a particular side of the myth essence.
