Traditional Values Associated with the Image of a Hero in Tuvan Dance

The main idea of our work is that the image of a Hero in Tuvan culture, the maadyr, is being studied in the space of the dance culture that exists on the territory of the republic. Kinetic and artistic identity, preserved in the plastics of ritual dance allows us to supplement existing information about the character of the heroic image The purpose of the work is to analyze the ethnic devig dance and the values associated with the image of a hero, which is sacred to the Tuvan people.The main goals are to reveal the epic foundations of the archetype of the maadyr, explore the semantics of the ritualdevig dance, and to reveal the sacral semantics of the gestures and plastics of the hero (Connection with Heaven and Earth). In this study, the following methods are used: the comparative method which allows us to reveal the specific features of the image of a modern and traditional heroes, the cultural historical method which is used to analyze and study the specifics of processes in the system of spiritual culture, the semantic method which allows us to reveal the early kinetic forms as sign patterns that have developed in different cultural-historical periods, the structural-functional method which represents dance as a system based on the understanding of gestures. The main results of this study: 1. Determination of specific features of the traditional hero, which are reflected in the Tuvan dance and expressed by following: the epic hero who preserved the notions of power, courage, which is inherent in the hero, warrior, fighter, protector, who is the messenger of Heaven. 2. The specificity of the gestures (plastics) of the Tuvan dance is revealed, which is on the one hand connected with the expression of the Sky - the circle, an indispensable element of the dance, drawn in space by the progress of the sun, marked as an appeal to the Supreme Sky-Tengri, andrepre-sents the firm state (support) ofEarth - the gesture of slapping the hip and the ground. The essence of the dance ceremony is the idea of worshiping heaven. 3. Determination of the value of the preserved tradition, which consists of the idea of the globalized world's reference point for the development of the future, referring to the roots, the main significance of which is to translate cultural ideals that fix the idea of the connection between earth and heaven, secular and sacred. Thus, thedeviq dance is a ceremony that expresses the idea of worshiping the Eternal Blue Sky (Tengri). It is performed by the moge - a fighter, a hero, a maadyr. This is a gesture, expressed by the dance with a complex form of adoration of the Eternal Blue Sky. In the specifics of the devig dance, in our opinion, the ethno-cultural tradition is being preserved and connected with the view of the Tuvan people on the image of the hero - the moge-maadyr, who is turned to Heaven but stands firmly on theground.
